COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO RECYCLING IN BRADLEY

Bradley Recycles the 3rd Tuesday of the month. 

  • Group A Clear Glass, Beverage Bottles and Jar

Rinse well to remove food residue DO NOT collect light bulbs, plate glass.Labels DO NOT need to be removed drinking glasses, auto glass, and china. Remove tops & metal or plastic rings & discard mirrors or ceramics. Collect glass in a brown paper bag in your bin

  • Group B – Tin and Aluminum Cans
-Rinse well to remove food residue DO NOT collect scrap metal or aerosol cans. Labels DO NOT need to be removed pain cans, auto product cans or aluminum. Crushing/Flattening is NOT necessary tins, pie tins or tin foil. Collect cans in a brown paper bag in your bin.
  • Group C - #2 Plastic (HDPE) Clear & Narrow Neck Bottles

Only milk, water and detergent #2 plastic HDPE NO pizza boxes and cereal boxes. Remove lids/rings, rinse to remove residue shoeboxes DO NOT tie with string. Labels DO NOT need to be removed NO yellowish box board/chip board. Crush or flatten, collect mixed plastic bottles in a brown paper bag in your bin.

  • Group D- Waxless Corrugated Cardboard

Flattened waxless cardboard only NO pizza boxes, cereal boxes or shoeboxes. Stack on top of your bin for collection DO NOT tie with string and NO yellowish box board/chip board

  • Group E – "News Group" Mixed papers

Includes newspaper, newsprint inserts, glossy fliers, NO office paper, envelopes or plain paper inserts, catalogs, magazines and telephone books contents of junk mail. Do NOT collect these in a brown paper bag in you bin materials as they will get wet. Please Cover! It is important to keep this material dry.

 

About Recycle Bins...

 

Recycle bins are available at the Town Office. The first recycle bin is free of charge. Additional bins are $5 each.

SOLID WASTE PICK UP

Trash schedule:  

The Town of Bradley contracts through Maine Waste Systems for Trash pickup. The normal schedule is every Tuesday beginning at 7:00 a.m. Maine Waste Systems observes the following holidays: New Years,   Thanksgiving and Christmas. If the holiday is celebrated on a Monday, your trash pick-up will be Wednesday instead of the normal Tuesday pick-up.
