Summer Paving Information

The chip seal process includes a “shim” to the roadway to even the pavement. Then, a few weeks later, the chip seal (a mixture of tar and small stone) is sprayed to seal the pavement. This is proven to be a cost-effective pavement surface treatment that extends the life of existing asphalt roads.

This is the beginning stages of the chip seal process, which is anticipated to take place in mid-August.
